Governance
The Metal Cladding and Roofing Institute (MCRI) believes that competence and specialism of individuals within the metal cladding and roofing industry, must be recognised. The MCRI aims to acknowledge, support and promote the expertise and specialist knowledge of those who work within the metal cladding and roofing industry.
Through its association with the Metal Cladding and Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA), the MCRI can offer a range of CPD approved training modules, membership of the Construction Products Association, membership of the Advisory Committee for Roof Safety, involvement in both National and European standards committees, technical and commercial updates through newsletters and emails, plus involvement in industry consultations and an online annual meeting.

The Metal Cladding and Roofing Institute (MCRI) is administered by the Board of Directors and the elected Management Committee of the Metal Cladding and Roofing Members Association (MCRMA).
Objective and Focus
The Institute has been established to achieve the following:
- To become the recognised body for specialists in the metal-based roofing and cladding industry in the industrial, commercial and warehouse sector plus associated sectors such as agriculture, rural and horticulture.
- To acknowledge, support and promote the technical expertise of individuals associated within the metal roofing and cladding sector.
- To encourage the development of the individuals’ skills and knowledge through the active involvement of recognised CPD learning and the engagement of others to advance their careers within the sector.
- To raise the profile of the Institute and those involved in the Institute with those who engage with the industry and those who seek advice and guidance from industry specialists.
- To actively promote the philosophy of the Institute via active involvement with other associated industry bodies and via industry recognised promotional platforms.
